Things You Should Learn as a Modern Day Warrior

While the news might lead you to think differently, the truth is that we sleep in a time with the foremost peace ever round the world. There are fewer wars than there are in other times during history and most folks here within the Midwest have shelter, food and no real reason to fear for our lives once we walk down the road.
And this is often why many folks became ‘soft’. Many folks have forgotten what it means to possess the need to fight for what we would like and wish. Que, instant gratification, on-demand food delivery, and Amazon Prime. Many folks are content to spend our time simply relaxing, watching junk on TV and eating themselves into food comas at the top of each day.
The stress we do face takes a really different form than it once did.
Fact still remains, adopting a warrior’s mindset is important. There are still battles to be fought and there are still huge benefits that will come from instilling discipline, drive and a code of honor.
There are reasons to still grow, to find yourself and to enhance yourself. Becoming a contemporary warrior means being ready for whatever challenge might come. It means having the ability to guard and fight for your family. It means having the means and tools to influence your circumstances instead of letting them shape you. Don’t be a product of your circumstances. Choose to be a product of your decisions.
So, continue learning, continue to grow and keep getting tougher, mentally, physically and emotionally. Steel oneself against the storm, that you pray never comes. Become an unstoppable force permanently in your own life.

· Focus and Awareness: Meditation
Many folks walk around during a daze, brooding about things that have no pertinence to their current situation. They daydream about things they'd like to try to advance their careers and get that raise. They worry about debt, they worry about car payments, mortgages, and bills. A warrior, however, takes a special approach. The warrior is prepared for what might come, they're able to answer the immediate questions in a dire situation and they’re instantly able to give all of their attention and focus to the matter in hand.
It’s recommended to practice meditating. This may strengthen your ability to focus and concentrate along with its many other benefits.
· Practical Skills: There’s YouTube Now
The warrior is predominantly self-sufficient and ready to handle any situation with the tools they need. Learn the fundamentals of plumbing, mechanics, car maintenance, preparing for a power outage, etc. Don’t be afraid to undertake and solve problems yourself instead of calling somebody else to do it. Look it up on YouTube or Forums on Google first and check it out yourself.
· Forego Your Standard Comforts: Travel, Go Camping!
One of the times most people actually go into ‘warrior mode’ in everyday life is when they become parents. Parents are able to go without sleep and rarely stress about it. They can run on very little energy at all because they are putting the needs of someone else before them. This a hallmark of a true Warrior Mindset.
Go Camping once in a while. Learn to live a life less comfortably and to go without proper amounts of sleep sometimes. Do it all without your creature comforts. Try traveling with very little and you will learn to make do.
