To Have a Warrior Mindset, It Helps to be a Minimalist

What is the warrior mindset?

To many folks , it means strength, determination, and self-discipline. The warrior mindset is about knowing what you would like, knowing the way to accomplish it and being willing to sacrifice to achieve these goals. It’s about being in control of something greater than yourself: be that a goal or objective in your career, taking care of your family, or working to make the Country a far better place.

The warrior is in a position to place aside their comforts, their personal desires, and their weaknesses. The warrior does what must be done.

This demands minimalism.

The reason for this is often simple: your stuff causes you to become weak for a variety of reasons.

The more stuff you've got, the more you've got to lose.

If you've got a gorgeous large home that's absolutely full of beautiful objects, then that’s going to require an outsized amount of cash to upkeep. This, in turn, means you would like a well-paid job so as to take care of it.

And it means you suddenly have tons to lose and lots of ways in which you'll break down. Whether it’s upsetting your boss, having your house robbed, car stolen, flat tire… more items mean you've got more distracting you from what's really important and more ways you'll inevitably be damaged.

Then there’s the more direct way that ‘stuff’ can cause you to weak. Simply: having many things means you'll be indulged. Whether it’s great food that dances on your palette, a cushty armchair that allows you to put the feet up, or a TV with 5,000 channels and therefore the ability to record from 5 of them directly.

When you’re used to living with these luxuries, your standards go up. You become familiar with having more, you can’t imagine being ready to accept less.

And now, once you end up without all those comforts, you’re going to find it harder to manage without them.

Now, for a moment, imagine that this just clicks one day and do push-ups in an empty room, or maybe you just sleep on the floor instead of your bed. You’ll begin to adapt and suddenly, you're on your way to learning how to cope in any situation. You’ll slowly start to learn that you hardly complain, perhaps you won’t spend so much time pitying yourself and maybe, just maybe realize you've got nothing to lose.

I’m not saying you would get all that from a simple change in sleeping venue, but I'm saying that just a touch minimalism will assist you in learning to be less vulnerable & soft.

Additionally, the benefits of minimalism can transcend this.

For starters, once you have a minimal décor, the necessary mentality, you've got fewer things to distract you, You'll actually be and feel freer. Perhaps you'll wind up wanting to travel the planet but find no good place to store this abundance of items. At the same time, with less 'stuff' you'll get to spend more time enjoying your family and subsequently, your life.

A cluttered house is a cluttered mind!
